The Value Portugal project ran between July 2016 and June 2018, aiming at capturing and disseminating broad information relevant to the qualification of business strategies of SMEs operating in the national waste sector, in the sense of their sustained and competitive growth.

Of the 5 events organized under this project, the closing conference deserves special mention.
On June 22, 2018, in the auditorium of the emblematic Plataforma das Artes e Criatividade, in Guimarães, 115 participants gathered, including representatives of companies, researchers and teachers.

The event program was divided into two panels. The first is entirely dedicated to the presentation of the results of Value Portugal, the second to the theme «The future of the waste sector».

Value Portugal has benefited from European Union co-financing through the ERDF, as part of the COMPETE 2020 program.
