The UMinhoTech - Technology for future project was developed between December 2017 and November 2020 and its main objective was to enhance the economic valuation of the R&D results produced by the University of Minho and its technological interfaces, as well as reinforcing the scientific and technologic knowledge transfering it for the business sector.

In this context and integrated in the European Waste Week, the Centre promoted, between 22 and 23 November 2018, at its headquarters, an Open Day dedicated to the theme «Circular Economy: Good Practices».

On the 22nd, the event was attended by around fifty participants, including businessmen and researchers, while on the 23rd the Centre was visited by around a hundred students from the CENATEX, Francisco de Holanda and Martins Sarmento schools.

UMinhoTech was co-financed by the European Union through the ERDF, as part of the COMPETE 2020 program.
