March will bring networking and joint inter-company reflection moments, within the framework of the Wast'Awareness project promoted by CVR - Waste Valorization Centre.

Various innovative waste valorization technologies, which translate into significant improvements in the production process and can be transferred to companies, will be discussed, demonstrated, and analyzed in the various Demodays.

Framed within the Wast'Awareness project - Technology Transfer in Waste Valorization and Sustainability, Demodays are face-to-face events aimed at transmitting and quantifying the benefits of technologies to entrepreneurs from various sectors, so that they can apply, develop or commercialize this knowledge.

The Demodays will take place:
• At CVR (Guimarães), on March 1st;
• In Porto (Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto), on March 7th;
• In Coimbra (University of Coimbra), on a date to be announced;
• In Portalegre (Instituto Politécnico de Portalegre), on March 27th.

As part of the Wast'Awareness project, which seeks to achieve the transfer of R&D results and Ready-to-Market technologies, CVR has been promoting project demonstration initiatives to attest to the benefits of investing in R&D-intensive activities. WAST'AWARENESS - Technology Transfer in Waste Valorization and Sustainability is promoted under the SIAC - Collective Actions Support System and seeks to reinforce research, technological development, and innovation. It is financed by Portugal 2020, under the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalization, in the amount of €387,497.93, of which €329,373.24 comes from the European Regional Development Fund.
